Part II: Architecture as a Muse

Every city tells its story in stone. For me, architecture is more than structure—it is a language of form, rhythm, and history that often translates directly into design.

Silhouettes in Stone

Walking through ancient cities or modern coastal towns, I see silhouettes, textures, and structures that later find their way into my garments. A carved arch might inspire the neckline of a dress; the geometry of tiled floors might become a print.

History in Detail

Architecture holds memory. The weathered façade of a building, the intricate latticework of a balcony, the bold lines of a modernist structure—all of these details remind me that design is timeless. Fashion, like architecture, is about balance: between strength and delicacy, permanence and movement.

Translating Space into Fabric

When I return to the studio, these impressions become sketches. The curve of a dome becomes a drape, the symmetry of a plaza becomes a pattern repeat. In this way, architecture becomes not just a backdrop to travel, but a muse that shapes the very bones of a collection.

Closing thought

Tarovine garments carry echoes of the world’s great structures—wearable architecture that tells stories of place and time.
